If you are unsure about which speaker you want, or if the submission form does not suit your purposes (e.g. you want to contact more than one speaker), or if you are having any trouble at all, please feel free to visit the "Contact" page and send a general email inquiry instead of submitting the form.

These talks are free-of-charge, but if it is normal practice for your organization to provide honorariums (or gifts) to guest speakers, we ask that you extend the same courtesy to our speakers. We also encourage you to consider reimbursing them for any excessive travel costs. Any and all payments should be arranged directly between the requester and the speaker (i.e. the Bureau does not facilitate this). Finally, note that the opinions of our speakers are their own, and are not endorsed by the Bureau or the University.

While you are not required to include a phone number, we recommend that you do so. Email correspondence between requesters and speakers has sometimes been unreliable, so it is helpful to have a back-up mode of contact.

We recommend that you request talks at least one month in advance (two weeks at a bare minimum). The earlier you make the request, the more likely it is that the speaker will be able to meet it. It is also a good idea to suggest at least two possible dates for the speaker to choose from.

It may also be possible to hold the talk on campus or at a satellite UofS location. If this is a possibility or preference for you, please say so.
